Apple just posted the kind of quarter most companies would dream about.
iPhone revenue surged. China rebounded. Services hit another record. Margins expanded again.
And somehow, none of that feels like the main story anymore.
That’s the strange position Apple is in right now. The business itself still looks incredibly strong. But the narrative around the company is starting to shift away from hardware and toward something much bigger:
whether Apple can remain the center of consumer technology in an AI-first world.
Because for the first time in years, investors are no longer automatically assuming Apple will dominate the next platform shift the way it dominated mobile.
That doesn’t mean the company is in trouble.
But it does change the conversation.
